The Back Story behind Cholera

How many of us know what cholera is and how it was discovered?  With so much information in the news regarding the epidemic in Haiti, this NPR interview with Dr. Eric Mintz, a medical epidemiologist in the Division of Food Borne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, sheds light on the origins and transmission of the disease.
