Dear Friends! We have the luxury of turning on our faucet or buying our water from the store without a second thought. But think of those whose access to clean water is severely limited or non-existent. The situation in Haiti highlights the perils of not having clean water. Cholera is prevented by washing hands with soap and water. But what if there is no clean water? The concoction used to re-hydrate the body from diarrhea consists of sugar, salt and clean water. But what if there is no clean water?
As some of you may know, the board of Vive Harambee! , a 501 (c) (3), is made up of a small and determined group of five who are dedicated in the quest to provide clean water and sanitation facilities for developing nations. Our first mission is to build a well for Haiti, a country that has been racked by a natural disaster, a medical calamity, and most recently, political unrest, all within a year.
During this season of giving, please consider a donation to Vive Harambee! . Your gift, great or small, will allow Vive Harambee! to provide a sustainable source of clean water in Haiti.
